Dear Councillor

Please find attached the minutes of the council meeting held on Thursday 15th January 2026 at 7.00 pm in the Black Swan.

3. Matters Arising

a. Suggestions of how to use the APCA funds was discussed and PA presented the suggestions.  The main one was to wait until some thing came up and to hold off for now.  Some suggestions would have used more than the funds held and incur maintenance costs also.

b. Street sweeping was raised by PA on behalf of a parishioner and clerk informed council that the ERYC had ended the Village Walkabouts.  Council will organise its own to be undertaken during the summer. Date TBC

c. Precept was discussed and signed off being below inflation.  Increase of 1.8% was agreed and voted in unanimously

 

Accounts

HSBC – as part of precept clerk presented forecast of year end with an outrun of £0. To achieve this some defibrillator pads will be purchased as stock items.  Laptop has not yet been purchased and money approved still sits in parish account. Expenses this month

 

Planning matters

None received

Any Other Business carried over

RP raised the issue of planning approval for caravans during construction. Some residents have reported to him that they were unhappy about the continued placement of the caravnas.  Clerk to investigate permissions etc

 

RP raised the Village Plan scheme and this will be presented at the next council meeting.

 

Meeting ended 20-10pm.  Next meeting to be on Thursday March 12th at 7-00pm.
